Featuring 35 short stories from an international mix of authors, Twisted Tax Tales is an anthology resulting from a competition run in 2016 by Success Tax Professionals. All profits from the book will be donated to the Save The Tasmanian Devil Appeal. My story, Life, Death and Taxes, was judged to be in the top 25 entries, and is included in the publication. I’m delighted to be a part of the project.
Tasmanian devils are one of my favourite animals, partly because I am Tasmanian myself. The species is under threat from Devil Facial Tumour Disease, a contagious cancer. DFTD has had a devastating effect on the wild population. Funds raised will go towards research into combating this major threat. It will be a tragedy if we lose these wonderful little animals. I am delighted to announce that my short story Life, Death and Taxes has been selected in the top 20 entries of an international competition. An anthology is being produced, with the profits going towards research into saving the Tasmanian Devil. My story will be in there, and I’m proud to be involved in the project. My latest short story Life, Death and Taxes has been accepted into the Twisted Tax Tales competition. Below is a link where you can read the story, and vote for it if you like it. You can vote by clicking the Facebook like button that appears below the story. An anthology will be produced using competiton entries, with half of them being chosen by the number of votes received. Voting also helps choose the winning entry.
This is a great competition, which is raising funds for the Save The Tasmanian Devil Appeal. The competition is still open if you would like to submit. Entries are to be no more than 5000 words, and a main character has to be an accountant. The competition is open internationally.
