Migrating ebooks and hardcover looks

A publisher I have been using to distribute some of my ebooks, Pronoun, is closing down. This means some titles of my ebook titles will disappear and then reappear on some retailers as I change over to a new company. In most cases any reviews they have received on the retailer’s site before the move will be lost, so if you have been kind enough to leave one, please check in a few weeks that the review is still there. It’s a disappointing situation, and means spending time on something other than writing, but if all goes to plan my books will be available in even more places than before. I’ll try to update the sales links on my website as the move progresses.

In other news, I have finally received my copy of the hardcover edition of Thank You: A Tribute To Chris Cornell. The images are darker than I’d like, but not bad enough to attempt reworking the whole book. Expanded distribution has now been selected, but buying directly from Lulu will save you 40% off the list price. The hardcover will start appearing on other retailers over the following couple of months.

I recently published a long-lost novel by Australian-born Rosa Campbell Praed. The Soul of Countess Adrian was first published in 1891, but had been out of print for a century. The story is a romance, but is set against Bohemian London and the occultism that was the craze of the time. Charm and drama merge in this lost piece of Australian literature history. It is available as a paperback on Amazon US, UK and Canada, and will appear on other retailers in the future. The ebook is also out on Amazon, and will appear on other retailers soon as part of the ebook migration.

I don’t have any titles scheduled for release in the near future, but I am working on a number of projects. Some horror, some romance, some long, some short. I had hoped to have at least one out before Christmas, but it’s highly unlikely now.

Hurrah for Hardcover!

IMG_5836Do you love a hardcover book? Well, good news! My books are being released as hardcovers. Here are the first four of my titles to be in the format.

Dylan’s Rock in both Regular Print and Large Print

Scar On The Sky in Large Print

Arachnight & Tasmanian Devils in Large Print (also in the same volume for the first time).

Buy directly from Lulu and you will save big on the list price. Also make sure you check Lulu’s homepage for additional discount offers.

Two more titles will be joining them in hardcover – Scar On The Sky (in regular print), and Thank You: A Tribute to Chris Cornell (also in regular print). I will be updating my buy links as I approve the proof copies, although all the titles mentioned here are already available for purchase through Lulu.

New Release Coming Soon

Good news everyone, I have a new title coming out in the near future. Scar On The Sky is a paranormal novella, and the first book in my new series Rockington. I don’t have an exact release date, but it should be within the next couple of weeks. If you like fallen angels, you will love this one. Scar On The Sky will be available in ebook, paperback, and large print paperback. Keep an eye out for further announcements.

New Online Store

I love graphic tees, which is abundantly clear when you look in my wardrobe. So, it was a natural progression to decide to produce some t-shirts of my own. I found a host site to launch my store on and started loading up some designs. It’s been a lot of fun. I’m going to have to buy some of these for myself!

If you’re interested in grabbing some book-related merchandise (there are other products also available) click here. If you do happen to buy something, take a selfie and post it on my Facebook page!

New year, new stories

I hope everyone has had a safe and happy start to 2017. My goal is to do lots more writing this year, and release multiple titles.
I’m off to a good start. Today I finished the first draft of my first paranormal romance novella. It will need work, of course, but it’s been in development for a long time. I’ve based it (extremely loosely) on the lyrics to the song Scar On The Sky, with which it will share the title. If a fallen angel romance appeals to you, keep an eye out for further news on the project.
I have about ten other projects on the go as well. A few are side projects but if I get them all done this year it will be a real achievement. I also have a feeling I will be starting at least a few more new books in the coming months.
What would you like to see more of from me this year? More romance? More horror? Something else? Suggestions are always welcome.

Dylan’s Rock – now available in print!

Do you love the feel of a print book in your hands? The way the pages feel as you turn the page, the smell, the smoothness of the cover? Well, good news! Dylan’s Rock is now available in print as well as ebook.

There are two editions available – a standard paperback, and a large print paperback.

The large print edition has 18pt type in a sans serif font, making it suitable for vision impaired readers.

Both are currently available on Amazon, and will pop up with other retailers in the future.

Dylan’s Rock update

I received the proof print copies of Dylan’s Rock today. It’s weeks earlier than I had been told to expect, so it was a wonderful surprise. Now to go over them with a fine-toothed comb, before I authorise them to go on sale. Both a regular paperback and a large print paperback will be available.

Get Ready…

The proof copies of the print versions (paperback and large print paperback) of Dylan’s Rock have been ordered! Unfortunately it’s estimated they won’t arrive until August 18th, which is a longer wait than I was hoping for.

I had planned to release all versions at the same time, but I am now going to release Dylan’s Rock as an ebook ahead of it’s print release. The files are all ready to go, so after one more read through, they will be going up for sale!

Watch this space, it could be as early as this weekend!
